I crossed the line

I called my mother the other day
She said she was fine
So we talked about the mistakes we made since the end of time.
With a smile, pushed the phone back
and a tear to put things straight,
She told me I'd been given this very heavy trait.
Oh I crossed the line,
when I stopped going back to that old room of mine.
I have a man he walks by my side,
His roots go deep,
We are bound by the force we gather from our naked feet.
We went full circle and let the music play,
then the notes started warping and I failed to stay away.
Oh I crossed the line,
When i stopped going back to that old room of mine.
I pause to draw a mountain by the canal,
months went by.
With a flash and a few saved memories I thought I'd give it another try.
But when I took the paper from my dirty hands,
Its pieces formed a circle and lay angry on the ground.
Oh I crossed the line,
When I stopped going back to that old room of mine.

Run on Ice

I don't mind if you taylor my every word
The louder the voice, the more is heard.
Tempt me with the ink of my very fate.
Make me on time and don't be late.
But don't make me run on ice when I have no legs to stand on,
Don't make me run on ice when I can't swim.
I ordered the same very wish,
Drew the same hopes on your very lips,
and day to day we dusted and we groomed
our solitude, to make the worst of it bloom..
Don't make me run on ice when I have no legs to stand on,
Don't make me run on ice when I can't swim.
The day you gave me your bitter blues,
I held my hips and I could not move,
Poise like a horse, I came marching in
a blazing fire had turned the coins that we spin..
Don't make me run on ice when I have no legs to stand on,
Don't make me run on ice when I can't swim.

Sailors wife
04:34

She set out building her rail
Number to number, Nail to nail,
No doubt in the cause, she took it slow,
One by one straight like an arrow.
Temple her school, She left at good time,
Exiting the door at the scream of the chime,
No wild in her eyes, it was rooted low,
sometimes it would appear in the hand of her shadow.
She had plenty a sibling to bounce off and hide from,
Some would stay on their knees, others long gone,
and occasionally , you'd see the cross hanging high,
fed their truth, their only Lie.
Da da da...
She fell in love, with a man on a boat
His sails were high, he could keep them afloat
But her bones ached and he would grind his ivory body on their love
left behind.
She was the type to keep her end of the bet,
but with nothing to feed off, half way she met,
a married man, soft and strong,
his heard of silk had been stamped upon.
Da da da...
Years went by in a cushioned cage,
His children had jumped the stream and ages,
with stale humor and cheeks wet,
She's in denial of an emotional dept.
This dept, whatever side it may lay,
Needs and fountain pen and a ruler I say,
cos she returned, young and bright eyes to a sailors wife
who couldn't hear her cry.
Da da da...

Faces

Step, feel, begun
Push push, run run.
I went forwards in a side glance, wherever it would take me in the hope that some day someone might meet me.
I had time to watch and time to play and strangers were guidance, they were on their way and I blushed and melted my way through love, Like and apple in the sun and a volcano's flood.
